October 6th

We've had a day to reflect on the past season and...wow!

* The biggest thing for us was celebrating our 30th year in business, serving St George and surrounding areas. There aren't many local businesses still standing that have been 100% owned & operated by the same family and we're extremely proud of that!

* Our menu expanded with great offerings like Ice Cream Handwiches & the seasonal Pumpkin Spice Milkshake. We also offered lactose-free milkshakes, at no extra cost, so everyone can have a treat at Pete's.

* We welcomed two new faces to the "Pete's Family" with the wild purple PeTe Cruiser & Sprinkles, our mascot, which was 100% designed, built & worn by Ben. He did an outstanding job!

* We love a parade! Two of them, in fact. It was great fun parading through Blacks Harbour & St George with the Pete Cruiser, banner and the folks who make it all possible!

* As has been tradition, we said good-bye to the Fundy High Class of 2014 & hello to the Kindergarten class of 2014. Maybe we'll see them as the Grad Class of 2026?

* Speaking of graduates, our very own Phil was among those graduating from Fundy High this year. Lots of luck in the future to Phil in his university career!

Mary is having a think & carefully crafting a few words of reflection & thanks. We'll post that once it's sorted out.

September 5th

Congratulations to our July contest winner, Sheila Kernighan (who won 11.4L of hard-serve ice cream) and to our August winner, Cameron Gray. Cameron won not only 11.4L of ice cream but an exclusive Pete's T-shirt!

We were also lucky enough to take part in the Blacks Harbour Fog Festival on Labour Day. We've got a few pictures from that in the photo gallery titled "Our 30th Year."

Also, look for us at the Ganong Nature Park Fall Festival, September 13th and 14th. We'll have a tent set up & look for out PeTe Cruiser!

Finally, we've made a slight change to our hours. We're now open daily from 1PM to 9PM (instead of until 10PM).

August 4th

This month, you can earn HUNDREDS, maybe THOUSANDS, of bonus entries in out Back-To-School Give Away!

As always, you can earn one entry for liking/sharing the pic on our Facebook page. However, by purchasing (and donating) new & unused items items found on our "shopping list," you can earn lots of bonus entries.

We're asking our friends & customers to help the St George & Area Food Bank by buying school supplies for the needy kids in our communities. In doing so, you can earn as many bonus entries as you want.

We've posted a list below (along with our August Give away rules) of the items they need and how many bpnus entries you can earn for each item. If you bought just one of each item on the list, that's 170 entries! If you bought 10...1,700 bonus entries!!

We're asking you to please help our kids ge ta proper education and be properly outfitted for the upcoming school year. This is very important and the St George & Area Food Bank is in need of your help!

July 22nd

A big, big, hugely huge thank you to every one who came out over the past weekend to help officially mark our 30th Anniversary.

It was so awesome seeing everyone smiling & enjoying our free BBQ, face painting, cake & give aways. It was also great to see so many friendly faces along the parade route.

We even met plenty of friends from near and far who make Pete's a destination when they visit the area. That's a tremendous honour for us.

We've added pictures added to our photo gallery...look for them in the "30th Year" photo gallery. Lots of great memories captured forever!

Truly, without YOUR support & loyalty we wouldn't be here. Stop in...we're here all summer ready, willing & waiting to serve you the frosty treats you love!

July 14th

This Saturday, July 19th, we will officially celebrate our 30th Anniversary during the St George Granite Town Festival.

We'll have a free BBQ (noon to 3PM), face painting for the young (and young at heart), free cake, lots of surprise give aways, our traditional Banana Split Balloon Pop (pop a baloon & pay the price inside for a Banana Split) and we'll be in the Big Parade on Sunday (July 20th)!

We're also officially kicking off the Pete's Colossal Challenge. We're offering a special prize package to anyone who eats an entire Colossal Sundae in 30 minutes (or less).

We've gone and done it again! We're kicking off the summer season with a WILD contest!

Just visit our Facebook page, like/share the WILD About Summer Giveaway pic and you earn an entry. One person will join the ranks of our winners and walk away with a big 11.4L tub of hard-serve ice cream!

You can only enter through Facebook but we'll have BONUS ENTRIES for our Twitter followers who RT (when applicable).

May 22nd

We're very pleased to introduce a new offering at Petes with our Customer Loyalty Card Program!

Come into Pete's and ask our counter staff for your loyalty card. For each small or large ice cream you purchase, you get one stamp. Fill up your card with 10 stamps and you get a small ice cream for free!

This applies to hard or soft serve ice cream served in either a cup or cone. What a great way to get rewarded for being a valued customer!

May 9th

Catching up on some recent happenings...

Congratulations to Julianna Young on winning our Easter Basket colouring contest. Congratulations also to Jane MacVicar who won our April give away of 11.4L of her choice of hard-serve ice cream.

We've also expanded our menu to include lactose-free milkshakes. Our delicious 24oz. milkshakes are lactose-free (by the customer's request) and there is no price change!

April 10th

Hey kids! We've got a new contest just for you!

Download this colouring sheet (the link is below), print it out, colour it in, write your name & age on it then bring it in to Pete's.

On April 17th, at 6PM, we'll pick one to win an Easter gift-basket filled with all kinds of goodies!

If you can't download or print this picture, you can come into Pete's and pick up a colouring sheet there! Lots of ways to enter!

This contest is only open to our customers who are aged 10 and under. All decisions regarding the winner are final.

Pete's is very happy to announce that we opened our doors Friday (04/04) to an enthusiastic crowd, beginning the 30th season of operations. We want to thank everyone who came out throughout the weekend to make it one of our best weekends ever!

To celebrate the arrivial of Spring, and with it our 30th season, we are offering a contest on our Facebook page.
